Lake Roosevelt

Boat-in camping?  Yes please!  We tried it for the first time this year at Lake Roosevelt and it was great!  About a 10 minute ride from the launch and we found it.  It had 2 nice docks to pull up to and there were only a couple of other families there. It took us 2 trips to unload all the camping gear but only 1 trip to get it all back.  That would have produced one nice surf wake! 

Here is our campsite. We were right near the water's edge.  With only a couple other families around we didn't worry about privacy too much. 


Are they standing in the middle of the lake?  The girls found a sandbar right at the edge of the swimming area.  They loved floating over to it and playing there.

 
We did some boating, fishing, sand playing, rock skipping, exploring, and RELAXING.  We spotted a bald eagle, didn't catch any fish (all we could catch was the bait), and had a crazy good time!
