Vacation Fun

Here's a few photos of the rest of our trip to Lemhi, ID. First things first, we went up to the bubbler and let the kids splash in the stream. Jamie is always one to enjoy whatever situation she finds herself in.
Bet you can't guess who requested this event to be part of the trip...!
After my little bike ride escapade, I helped the girls catch and ride horses. When Caitin was Jamie's age, she got on the horse for about 10 seconds before she got scared and was DONE.
Even though Caitin LOVED horses, she wouldn't go near them for the rest of that particular weekend. For that reason, I didn't really expect Jamie to do really well, but she has a love for animals that takes her beyond the fear threshold.Caitin is done being scared too. She even preferred to ride by herself while I led the horse around. Here she's riding Missy.
And here she's getting real brave leading Missy back to pasture!
Look at that girl! What would vacation be without trampoline time? Ring-around-the-rosies was the game of the day!
So what do you do before you leave for home on Monday? You ride the horses one more time for good measure! This time we rode Red.
While I was out cycling, Ralph, Wes, and Michael started building this greenhouse. They framed it all up, and then by the time I joined in the fun it was time to cover it with plastic...in the wind and threatening rain. The pvc frame twisted and folded in the wind when we gave it some surface area. We propped it up with a few boards and crossed our fingers. It stayed vertical overnight, but by Sunday afternoon it was all folded up again. We pulled the ox out of the mire and then they finished up Monday while I packed up to leave.
It turned out pretty nice, and should extend their growing season a bit.
